The City of Yellowknife (the City) is seeking proposals from experienced proponents to develop the following:

• A Community energy and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory for the year 2021;
• A comprehensive report on proposed improvements to the City’s current Energy Plan, including the integration of energy intensity indicators, climate action scenario analyses and consideration of future infrastructure’s impacts on the City’s energy/GHG profile; and
• The fulfilment of the City’s 2021 obligations to the World Council of City Data (WCCD) Energy Indicator platform.

A Community Energy and GHG inventory is required in relation to the City’s successful participation in the Partners for Climate Protection Program (PCP) managed and delivered by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM).

The WCCD energy indicator report must meet the expectations outlined in the WCCD and associated ISO guidelines. The audit shall include a detailed breakdown of the necessary data and methodology needed to complete energy indicators listed under ISO 37120, the International Standard for Sustainable Cities and Communities.
